You do not have to give money to help a charity.  Your time and expertise is also important and valuable.

We have opportunities for volunteers in Gambia.  Sunrise is a new project and there is much work to be done - helping in the office with administration, painting and general maintenance, or working as a classroom assistant alongside our teaching staff. 

We are particularly interested in anyone with experience of working with older students as we are working towards registration of the Skills Centre and the provision of N.V.Q. type qualifications for our students.

Your visit can be as long, or as short, as you like, although we would prefer a minimum stay of 4 weeks.

Obviously as a volunteer you will not be paid for your time and you will have to pay for your own accommodation and flights.
