Supporting a charity isn't just about giving money - although that is important. It's also about giving your time, sharing your expertise or just wanting to make a difference in whatever way you can.  For a simple, no cost way to help the children at our Centre, see the panel on the right.

The trustees of GETS are all volunteers and there is always more work to be done than we have time to do. We are supported by a group of advisors, who produce our Newsletter, maintain our membership list, advise on the curriculum, help with recruitment and training of staff in Gambia and many other tasks.

Your time can be used in a variety of ways, from simply talking about our work to other people and asking them to support us, through to becoming an active advisor to the trustees.  We are particularly interested in enlisting the help of teachers or ex-teachers to support our teachers at Sunrise.

As our Sunrise project grows, we will need even more support.  Could you help us by producing publicity material and promoting Sunrise in your neighbourhood and workplace?

We also need fundraisers and fundraising ideas.  Without money, our plans for the Centre and its future development will come to nothing.

You can follow our story from our Newsletters.

If you would like to help, or just to hear more about what we are doing, please contact us and we will be happy to answer your questions and hopefully to persuade you to join us.
